Students in Mr. Willis's class conducted an experiment where they mixed baking soda and vinegar in a bag and it had a chemical reaction. They drew a model of the experiment and explained what caused the bag to expand/explode.

We've been working on decimal addition and subtraction in class. Today we put those skills to use by ordering meals from a restaurant menu, counting the money we started with and our total money spent. Finally we figured out the change we got back.

Orchestra today learned the song "The Jolly Rancher"- so naturally, we had to celebrate with jolly ranchers!

Congratulations to Mrs. Shields' class. They won week 1 of our Attendance Olympics Competition. They had only 3 absences all week! Mrs Brimm came in second with 4 absences for the week.


With this latest trend, the library challenged students to find any more additional books in the library with a six or seven in the title and to see how many books they can read with a six or seven.

Mr. Holmes' class enjoyed their trip to the Caney Zoological Park! Thank you to our PTO for covering 1/2 the admission fee for each of our students!











Do you know your MINTS??? Thank you to Parsons Sonic for donating mints and coupons to our 4th grade classes. We use "MINTS" to remember what to capitalize. Students who passed all of their capitalization skills by the end of the week received a free Sonic slush coupon; everyone in Mr. Holmes' class met the challenge!



Mrs. Shields' class had so much fun at the Safari Zoological Park in Caney! Perfect way to wrap our Animal Adaptations Unit!
