The Guthridge Elementary 4th and 5th grade music program is fast approaching! Wednesday, April 30th, at 6:00. at the Parsons Municipal Auditorium.
Students are expected to be at the auditorium by 5:45, but will stay with their adults and families until they are called up to the stage. You can use this time to figure out where they will be and to get good seating to see them!
Lastly, the students have been talked to about clothing for the concert. It is preferred for them to wear the nicer side of school clothes. Think jeans and a nice tee shirt or nicer. They are NOT expected to wear brand new clothes, but that is fine if you make that choice! Please have them leave their coats with you in the seats. They CANNOT wear sandals, flip flops, slides, slippers, high heels, or wedges. These can be dangerous for the children on the risers as they are a big trip hazard.
The kids have been working hard on the concert, and we are so excited to show off our music prowess! Can’t wait to see you there!

Nancy and Forrest completed all of their social studies Study Island topics.

Mrs. Shields' class had so much fun today exploring customary units of liquid volume! We used hands-on activities to compare cups, pints, quarts, gallons and fluid ounces. Students then completed an exit ticket to show understanding and got creative coloring their own Gallon Man!

Guthridge students worked on finishing up a variety of art projects Monday, including one in which students incorporated positive affirmations into their paintings.

These students from Mr. Holmes' class recently passed all of their Study Island skills in either math, ELA, or science. Thank you to Mrs. Piva for the ice cream sundaes to celebrate!!!

Congratulations to Mayci in Mr. Holmes' class for passing all of her 4th grade math Study Island topics--just look at that list of topics that had to be mastered to achieve this goal!

Guthridge Students are "Goin' Places!" 😃 On Monday, teachers chose students who exemplified traits of a hard-working student. They were recognized in our morning assembly and had some fun with Mrs. Piva while taking this picture.

Mrs. Shields' class really enjoyed touring the Scholastic Book Fair Friday. The book fair is one of Mrs. Shields' favorite elementary memories and loved making this new memory with them, too. 🥰📚
