Mr. Holmes’ and Mrs. Gordon’s students learned about moon phases Friday afternoon. First, we simulated how the moon appears as it rotates around Earth using a flashlight as the sun and a ping-pong ball as the moon. Next, we used Oreos to make our own moon phases.
