General Auto II/III students needed some mid-week motivation in the form of burgers, brats, hotdogs and smoked macaroni. The front suspension on this GMC had them working overtime!
It's PINK OUT! We invite the community to join us for the annual "Pink Out" Varsity Football game at Marvel Park Stadium tonight at 7:00 p.m. as the Vikings take on the Neodesha Bluestreaks.
Along with Pink Out, the cheerleaders are looking forward to seeing all the junior cheer clinic participants this evening. A few friendly reminders:
-Wear your pink out t-shirt and any black athletic bottoms.
-Please arrive at Marvel Park Stadium at 7:00 p.m. and enter through the main gates.
-Participants should sit with their families in the stands until 5:00 minutes remaining on the play clock in the 2nd quarter. At that time, please meet at the Southwest end of the stadium to begin warming up.
-Participants will remain on the field to watch the rest of 1/2 time and then will need to be picked up by an adult from the same drop off area.

Varsity soccer dropped their game 0-3 against Coffeyville. JV drops their game 0-1. Varsity will be back in action this Saturday in the Coffeyville tournament.

Viking Choirs present Let There Be Music! Music Company and Viking Concert Choir put on a great show, along with the Sixth Grade Choir, and Seventh and Eighth Grade Choir!

It was another successful year for Apply Kansas! Seniors took time to submit college admissions applications, research job opportunities, and work on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Thank you to all the parents who attended and staff, faculty, & community members who helped ensure the event ran smoothly. Official data and door prize winners will be announced soon!

General Auto I/II students disassembled this 1970 Oldsmobile 350. They found witness marks from valves hitting the pistons, a bent pushrod, and a misaligned oil pump pick-up. They'll reassemble the engine with new parts after some light machine work. It will eventually find a new home in the engine bay of a late 70s Firebird!
Ms. Vincent and some of her upper level art students spent the Friday afternoon setting up Parsons USD 503 Pop-up Art Show for the Art Fest! They displayed projects from the semester so far from some 1st/4th grade classes, middle school, and high school art students.
A friendly reminder about the Apply Kansas event happening today, Tuesday, October 7th at PHS from 8:30am - 3:20pm in the Library. Seniors and their families can receive help filling out college admissions applications and working on the FAFSA.

While visiting the downtown PK Art Festival Saturday, stop in at 1718 Main Street and check out the USD 503 student art exhibit featuring various works the students of all ages have done since the start of the school year.
