After learning about Earth's rotation and how we can use the Sun and shadows to tell time, students in Mrs. Brimm's class created a Shadow Clock and practiced telling time using flashlights!









Ms. Deweese's Life Skills class having a relaxing morning with Mrs. Shields in art painting some pumpkins after listening to a story called The Runaway Pumpkin. Students also learned how the primary colors transition into secondary, which makes for some great autumn colors.

When reading about the Midwest Region, Mr. Holmes and Mrs. Gordon's classes learned that this region produces wheat. Wheat is ground into flour, and we use flour in pancakes! So, we ate pancakes!

Miss Jones' class would like to offer a HUGE thank you to Parsons Elementary Schools PTO for funding a portion of the 4th grade zoo trip earlier in the month. This trip is taken in conclusion to our animal adaptation unit. This is one of the highlights of the whole year!

Today we started learning about division! We practiced dividing cereal into equal groups. Then, we learned about remainders!

Mrs. Good's class did an experiment using math and science with pumpkins. In the end, each group got to carve their pumpkin! 🎃💙💛

Mrs. Brumback's class made sundials and tested their accuracy.



Mr. Holmes and Mrs. Gordon's math interventions group had the task of grading a math assignment that Mr. Holmes completed. He made a mistake on each question. Students became the "teachers" and used colored pens to correct his mistakes.


Mr. Holmes' classes have been reading dramas all week! Students have enjoyed playing various parts, finding the themes within their stories, and taking Accelerated Reader quizzes.
