Hard Work Pays Off...Go Mrs Brimm's Class

Congratulations to Mr Holmes 4th grade class, they took 3rd place in the IXL Sunflower State Sprint for Pre-K-4th grade. They were not in the top 5 with 2 weeks to go and finished in the top 3!

Did you know you can help support your child's teacher classroom by shopping the Book Fair and checking out their Classroom Wish list? Be sure to stop by the Book Fair tonight during Parent Teacher Conference. Here are some teachers who were gifted a book last night.

Students in Tuesday Library class received their prizes and certificates for finishing their typing Beginner Review 1 level, Beginner Review 2 level, and some have completed all of the Beginner Level. Students who finished their levels received a 3D prize of a heart or clover fidget and if they finished level 2 they received a turtle fidget. Completing all of the typing earned them the opportunity to request an up to 8 hour print when they return from Spring Break. These students are from Mr. Willis, Mr. Holmes, and Mrs. Stover's Tuesday library classes.

Don’t forget to check the Lost & Found during Parent-Teacher Conferences at Guthridge Elementary School! You might spot something familiar.

Thank you Mr. Peak, from Mrs. Shields' class, for teaching us about the robotic dog, Vector the Viking.

Guthridge Book Fair has arrived!!! We are set up and ready for shopping on Monday! We will be open throughout the school day and during conferences from 4:00-7:30 Tuesday & Wednesday this week. Come and Discover the Magic of Reading with our fantastic book selections.
Mrs. Peak in the library completed another round of 3D print requests, receiving 143 Google requests for a 3D print, with only 4 being done incorrectly. Students have to submit a request using a Google form and the item must take less than 4 hours to print, be appropriate, it is a Bambu file, and must have included the link. Students will be able to make another request after returning from Spring Break. Here are just a few of the last requests that were printed.
Fourth and fifth grade students learned a little about robotics and coding from Vector the Viking on Wednesday during their Computer Science lesson.

Just a reminder that school dismisses early Friday March 6.

After Mr. Holmes' class read the original tale of Hansel & Gretel from 1812 by the Brothers Grimm, we made our own gingerbread cottages. Thank you to Liz Phillips, retired Guthridge teacher and "grammy" of one of our students, for your donation of the gingerbread kits!

We made kites to display in the hallway.
